INTRODUCTION
The term fashion, which originates from the Latin word ‘facito’ meaning ‘to do’, has come to express a series of values, concepts and emotions. To express my thoughts about the fashion, I generated a word cloud and combined all the words which is meaningful to me abut Bursa city’s historical values and natural forms.
Fashion is a brutal formation. Meaning that it is absolutely for human and human ego. Directly related with emotions and desire to be the best. Thus, in the deepest heart of this formation, people want to be the chosen person, shine, to be seen, to be distinguished, to be invincible, meaning that we want to reveal the “BIG US” from our formation, the “INNER GOD” we admire to itself.
PASSAGE
To reflect this “INNER GOD” meaning the “INVINCIBLE PERSON”, I used Artificial Intelligence as a reflection of the sense of power and admiration. This artificial intelligence will be used as a huge screen on the runway area , as an AI robot dressed the same clothes with the fashion model and will walk simultaneously with the fashion models.
Moreoever, Bursa is on a position where the historic silk road traced. Hence this city is actually a Stop for the travellers for a long time ago. In this project, the Silkroad reflected itself as a passage where stores, workshop and cafe is located. The city of Bursa is also famous for its canyon or variety of caves. I manipulated the canyon on the roof/terrace floor where the open-air runway is and adopted the caves through the gallery space meeting with catwalking, multifunctional conference hall and party area.
